Cheap plastic cover produces loud noise

I have furnished my entire house with LG products and I am thoroughly disappointed. My brand new washing machine has a door lock code and its 135 dollars to tell me its a door lock malfunction. My window unit was bought in August 2023. We came home from vacation and it was making a terrible noise. We turned it off when and tried to get an appointment to get a warranty fix and because I the unit was still in the wall I couldnt read the numbers so LG would not schedule an appointment. We pulled it out of the wall and the lady with customer service finally scheduled some one two weeks out. Then the tech canceled the appointment because he didnt have electricity at his house so now we are waiting another week. Maybe he will come maybe he wont. Service and equipment are terrible but no one cares. You got my mom but I assure you you will get no more.

We purchased this air conditioner couple of weeks ago. It is Big and beautiful. It cools beautifully but one of the faults I have is the snapping sounds it makes when it kicks in and out constantly. It is in our living room where we both sit and it constantly clicks and clicks. The second fault is I cannot adjust the vents. I originally got them to point up but I cannot move them down Im afraid they will break theyre that tight. Otherwise its great.

Defunct unit and no response from customer service

Bought the unit and had my contractor install it. The unit turns on and the fan works but when the compressor kicks on it immediately shuts down with a strange noise. Have been waiting 20 days after 2 contact attempts for a service repair. I will now return it to the store and get another brand.

Installed a new out of the box LW1821ERSM and it stopped running within 24 hours. Electronics in cover defective. Tested with cover from another new unit and ran perfectly. Have now been in a que for warranty service for almost a month. Have used LG window units for over a decade in 25 residential units and have had warranty problems before. I am not very encouraged based on past experience.

Due to a house fire i was unable to use the air conditioner when I purchased it. Almost 1 year later I finally got to install it in the house I am renting until my home is ready to move back in to. I am so Extremely Happy with the unit It works like a charm From one end of the house to the other is nice and cool which is important since it is 90 degrees outside. The installation and programming are so easy. I misplaced the instruction book but found it online which is fantastic Now I will install a window in my remodeled home just to house my air conditioner because it has become a very important part of my life. I could not function without it. It is one of the best decisions I have made and the price is right too

Brought this unit and was excited to finally cool down my house. After install the unit turned on once and then never again. Calling the tech line was horrible since it is out of the country and they are just reading how to troubleshoot from a book. Noone local to come out to repair so after someone calling from Florida I am in N.Y. they send me a power supply to install myself which didnt fix the problem. After going back and forth through text they finally offer a refund which I have not received yet. Went with another brand and was 1000 percent satisfied.no.more LG products for me

I bought this as my previous AC unit was showing signs of giving up. The removable casing and the many features made this my choice. Once the lightweight casing was installed the insides were easy to lift and slide in place. No more wrestling with the entire unit trying to set it up. Cools several rooms almost instantly. Love the remote control and the thermostat feature. I used to watch the electric meter when the old AC was working and it spun like a meat slicer. Now with the LG it spins much slower. And its very quiet no loud fan no rattles. Highly recommend.

Powerful AC

Being a Floridian I have a large 429 sqft Florida Room with insulated roof and vinyl windows. For about half the year this is awesome and if the room gets a little warm you can just open the windows but from Late May through Late September its just too hot and humid. We had been looking for a good AC for this room and the LG 18000 BTU Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner looks like it is going to fit the bill perfectly I had tried a smaller 9000 BTU unit and it struggles too much with the mid-summer heat but this beast of an AC doesnt even break a sweat Packaging/In the Box Upon opening the box I found the AC to be very well packaged/protected this was a concern of mine due to the size and weight of the unit itself. Removing the unit from the box/packaging was easy with some help I highly suggest using two people for the entire unboxing and removal as this unit does weigh over 100lbs. Included with the unit are the instructions the AC unit itself a remote control two PE foam strips the left and right curtain panels and install hardware. Installation/Setup Installation was easy with the instructions being very straight-forward. I love the fact that this is a slide in unit which allows you to slide off the outer shell make the installation and then slide in the unit once that process is complete. I know most installs are done window height through a double hung window but for my application we did install at ground level in a panel on the side of the Florida room. Note this install method is not supported but worked with little modification for my needs. This unit is Wi-Fi enabled and can be controlled via the ThinQ app and can be integrated with Google or Alexa. In my case we integrated with my Google Home setup. App install and Google integration was as easy as expected for a current smart device. Use The on-board controls for the unit are as expected for basically any AC and resemble those for a central AC unit. The remote control is pretty basic and includes controls for power temperature Fan speed Timer and Mode. Personally I control the unit via Google home or the ThinQ app. In the two days we have been using the unit we have had a temperature of 93 and 91 and the LG AC has kept our Florida room to a very comfortable 74 without having to stay constantly running My Final thoughts on the LG 18000 BTU Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Window Air is that this is a huge winner for me and anyone wanting a smart window AC. The ease of install the quality of the unit itself and finally the easy Google home integration make this sheer perfection. Thank you LG

Too noisy We have it in our dining room and cant hear each other talk over the noise vibrations and rattling. The store came out to check it was installed correctly and stuffed some more insulation but it didnt help. We had a Friedrich prior to this that was much quieter. Store wont let us exchange so now we are stuck with it.
