Fan runs but does not cool

The unit worked good for six years and now it will not cool. Ive cleaned it every other year sprayed it down and it will not cool this summer so far. I wish you had a Parts breakdown so I can check things but you dont have anything available I can find. This time after I washed it again just to make sure it worked and then it did not cool. It was just blowing air. I dont hear the compressor working. Do you suggest any repair or should I just scrap this thing?

Upset how poorly it cools and keeps shutting off

I have the LG LW1816ER - 18000 BTU. It constantly gives me issues. If its anything over around 85 degrees f outside dont expect it to work well. Especially the hotter it is outside. Ive been setting the AC at the lowest temperatures anytime its above 80 out. Often set at 61 and its still comes out like fan is on. Also it often shuts off if its over 92 outside. And you cant use it. Thats what I need my AC to work. And I spent over $500 on this and I am really upset over how horrible it works. Im also always cleaning the AC at least every other day just to make sure that its clean and theres no issues with the filter.

I bought this unit and less than 1 year it quit cooling. Now I have been working with customer service for over a month on the warranty. Still not resolved. Call customer service almost daily and they tell me someone will call me in 24-48 hours. Never get a call. E-mailed the presidents line 3 times. They tell me they are looking into it. I never hear back.

Maybe I would be satisfied if I had been sold the right air conditioning. I was sol air conditioning for the window instead to be installed in the wall. On march it doesnt work they change something and April 5 th they change the air conditioning but they installed always a window instead the only one for the wall. I want you change for the good.

New A/C

I installed a/c a month ago in a second floor bedroom. Did not use until temperature was in the high 90s-100s last week. The a/c worked great and cooled the room quickly. The a/c was not too loud and I used the energy saver mode. Our last window a/c lasted 20 years doubt this one lasts that long. Case did come with a dent in it.

I bought this window a/c month ago and prior to installing I noticed a dent in the unit case. So check it out for dents as soon as u receive the product. Have not used it yet to evaluate how well it cools but with hot temps on. Horizon I think I will know if it is any good. Looks about like the 22 year old a/c it is replacing. This AC cools a room down fast. We are very pleased with the performance. Our den has 12 ceilings and is 22x20. The den is very cool during the day and cold at night. Easy to change temperature setting manually or with the remote. There is some noise but nothing that bothers our conversations or watching tv. The kitchen is cooler too Our house was built in 1947 so it has been hard to find an AC that works just good but this LG AC is awesome. It can get HOT here in south central Texas and this LG AC works GREAT

I have a 2014 version of this A/C. There might be some differences but it looks almost the same. It has worked flawlessly for the last 8 years cooling an 800 sq.ft. home even on the hottest days. I have it installed in a through the wall installation its pretty heavy. Might be tough on a window sill. I am a happy customer.

AC model LW1816ER often doesnt blow any air at -- not even warm air. Ive unplugged it for 10 minutes cleaned filters tried everything. Was working on and off and now doesnt work much at all. Most Powerful A/C Ever

After an extensive heat wave we purchased this air conditioner based upon its ease of installation simple controls and the BTUs necessary to cool our house. Are we ever glad we chose this unit because within 3 minutes of turning it on our house was essentially cooled down to the right temperature. We felt alive again feeling all of that cool air seamlessly entering all the rooms with ease. The controls make it simple to use as a dehumidifier when you just wish to dry the air out too. A red light comes on when the filter needs to be cleaned which is also an easy task. If I could give 6 stars to this A/C model I would.

Bought this air conditioner a couple of months ago and we are very pleased with the performance. It cools our house very quickly amazing. Installation is not easy because it weighs so much. Wish that they offered a kit to install on vertical sliding windows.

I got mine last year my house gets the full sun all day long so It gets very hot. I love this unit because it keeps my 3 front rooms nice cool.

make sure you buy bigger than your square footage requires. I find its better to buy way over the room size needed. nice unit has manual power saving modes
